ACPSD Empowering Educators (E2) 2018 has ended
Empowering Educators (E2) Conference sites:
  • Pre-K to 5th - Aiken High School
  • 6th to 8th - Leavelle McCampbell Middle School
  • 9th to 12th - North Augusta High School

The Opening Session begins at 8:30 a.m.  Although you will not see registration for the Opening Session in Sched, attendance is required. Opening Sessions will be held at these locations:
  • Aiken High School: Grades PK to 2nd - Gymnasium (park in the football parking lot)
  • Aiken High School: Grades 3rd to 5th - Cafeteria (park in the main parking lots)
  • Leavelle McCampbell Middle School: Cafeteria
  • North Augusta High School: Cafeteria

Leaving the basal behind is not as scary as it sounds! We will share how we transitioned from using the basal to fully implementing reading workshop. We will also share how we created assessments that truly measure what the students know based on the reading level expectations. As a participant you will leave with practical strategies and examples of our actual work that will surely inspire and motivate you for an exciting new school year with reading workshop.
