The Opening Session begins at 8:30 a.m. Although you will not see registration for the Opening Session in Sched, attendance is required. Opening Sessions will be held at these locations:
Aiken High School: Grades PK to 2nd - Gymnasium (park in the football parking lot)
Aiken High School: Grades 3rd to 5th - Cafeteria (park in the main parking lots)
Teachers will actively participate in historical simulations that peak student interest, help draw connections, and increase student engagement. Plan to delve back into the Age of Exploration as we participate in "The Great Depression". Participants will leave with power point and materials needed to implement simulations in upcoming school year.
Stephanie Prandy is a Nationally Board Certified teacher at Kennedy Middle School. She teaches 7th Grade Geography and coaches Volleyball and Basketball.
